Gangster Pulsar Suni and five others convicted in the 2017 Kerala actor abduction and sexual assault case were sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment each by the Ernakulam Additional Special Sessions Court (SPE/CBI – III) on Friday, December 12. The court has also ordered a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the survivor and directed the investigating officer Baiju Paulose to deal with the memory card with the sexual assault visuals safely.

The sentencing comes three days after the same court Malayalam actor Dileep, who had been accused of masterminding the crime.

Special Judge Honey M Varghese sentenced Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni (A1), Martin Antony (A2), who was the survivor’s driver on the night of the assault, B Manikandan (A3), Vijeesh VP (A4), Salim H alias Vadival Salim (A5)
