OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - 14 families will finalize adoptions on Friday as Circuit Judge Stacy Youmans presides over the court’s Home for the Holidays celebration.

Children who’ve gained amazing families, will now have the chance to tell Santa directly what they want for Christmas.

The celebration includes Mr. and Mrs. Clause, congratulating the adoptees on their special day.

The joyful event involves friends and family coming together to witness one of the happiest of occasions, the finalization of an adoption.

This year, 18 children will be adopted into 14 families.

The adoption ceremony will be followed by a festive reception offering an assortment of food and entertainment.

It will take place at the Marion County Courthouse at 1:30 p.m.
