Everything you need to know as Greater Manchester road flooded and homes 'without water':
A busy Trafford road has been flooded following a water burst, months after a similar issue took place in the same area. United Utilities has been working to repair the burst on Flixton Road, in Urmston.
The road became flooded on Thursday night (December 11) and remained under water this morning (Friday). Engineers have been in attendance since around 12.20am.
Several residents reported being without running water on Thursday night and the early hours of Friday morning. The supply has since returned, but some residents have spoken of water pressure and discolouration issues.
Flixton Road and Irlam Road were closed off while works took place. United Utilities says the burst has since been repaired
