India Today Group Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Aroon Purie rang the closing bell at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday to mark the Group’s 50-year journey.

He was joined by Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson and Executive Editor-in-Chief, Group CEO Dinesh Bhatia, and NSE MD & CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan during the ceremony held at NSE’s Mumbai headquarters.

The moment symbolised both a milestone for the media group and a nod to India’s financial markets, which have grown alongside the Group’s own evolution since 1975.

Speaking at the event, Aroon Purie said the occasion carried special meaning because strong institutions are essential for a strong nation.
