Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has hit the ground running with a fiery knock in the opening match of the 2025 ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup in Dubai. Sooryavanshi sent UAE bowlers on a leather hunt as he peppered the ICC Academy boundary with a series of stunning shots to score a daddy hundred. The teenage batting sensation racked up a career-best Youth ODI score of 171, taking just 95 balls after UAE opted to bowl first on Friday morning.
Sooryavanshi sent the ball soaring over the boundary a whopping 14 times during his innings and thus broke the record for the most sixes by a batter in an innings in Youth ODIs. He broke the previous record of 12 sixes hit by Michael Hill of Australia in February 2008 against Namibia.
