There will be eight bank holidays in England and Wales during 2026

With just two bank holidays remaining in 2025 , you may be organising your well-deserved breaks for the upcoming year. These public holidays often don't fall on the same days, as they are largely influenced by shifting occasions like Easter and when weekends occur.

Unfortunately, as of now, there are currently no new plans to add extra bank holidays to the eight scheduled in England and Wales for 2026, due to a lack of major national celebrations on the horizon.
