Palm Springs Desert Sun

Local artists, visionaries and creators Karen and Tony Barone were honored with the 482nd star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars on Nov. 14 at Downtown Palm Springs Park.

The couple is known throughout the Coachella Valley for their imaginative original paintings, captivating art videos and large sculptures that can be seen at more than 19 public locations, including at the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert, Desert Regional Medical Center, the Palm Springs Library, the Terra Lago Fire Station and on El Paseo in Palm Desert.

In addition to their artistic endeavors, the Barones support a number of local nonprofits, including Tools for Tomorrow, DAP Health, Desert ARC, Animal Samaritans and the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.
