Stanley Baxter has died at the age of 99, his friend has confirmed.
The legendary comedian, who was famous for a number of series including On The Bright Side, died on Thursday, December 12 in Denville Hall, a north London care home for entertainment figures.
He had lived in the facility since the end of 2023. Stanley was just months away from celebrating his 100th birthday at the time of his death.
The Scottish comedian was a familiar face on the stage and screen between the 1960s and 80s, taking parts both on television and in pantomimes in Britain.
