Iowa City Regina girls basketball player Addie McLaughlin and Solon boys basketball player Tate McCollum were voted by readers as the Press-Citizen’s Athletes of the Week for Dec. 1-7.

McLaughlin earned girls Athlete of the Week with 61% of the vote.

The sophomore recorded a double-double in Regina's 65-39 win over Monticello on Dec. 6. She scored 19 points and dished out 10 assists. She also turned in eight rebounds and four steals.

McCollum earned boys Athlete of the Week with 71% of the vote.

He was the leading scorer in Solon's 71-52 win over Clear Creek Amana on Dec. 5. He scored 20 of his game-high 22 points in the first half.
