Raptors 905 head coach Drew Jones didn’t want to read too much into his team’s historic start to the season, but he’s still appreciative of the effort and focus of his players.
“Records are there to be broken,” Jones told reporters Wednesday after Raptors 905 beat the Delaware Blue Coats 115-108 to extend their winning streak to 11 games to open the season, the longest winning streak in G League Tip-Off Tournament history. “I think this is a testament to our guys, their work ethic, their commitment and standard.”
The Tip-Off Tournament includes the first 14 games of the G League season, where all 31 teams are split into four groups, with eight teams reaching the Winter Showcase to compete for a championship.
