ROCHESTER & GROSSE POINTE SHORES, MI - It doesn’t get much more Christmassy than the actual “ A Christmas Story” house . But, two local historic mansions just topped it when it comes to their holiday experiences.

The Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores ranks No. 4 and Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester comes in at No. 3 on USA Today’s Best Holiday Historic Home Tour list .

The Ford House is located at 1100 Lake Shore Drive and was designed by Albert Kahn. It was completed in 1928 for the Edsel and Eleanor Ford family.

The 30,000 square foot home has 60 rooms and is situated on 87 acres. Guests can take tours of the residence all decked out for the holiday season.
