CONCORD, MI — The family of Keegan Nathaniel Vowels wants justice after the 22-year-old was killed in an alleged road rage incident the day after Thanksgiving.
“We want justice for him because this was a two-way street,” his mother Melanie Kirkland said. “But we also feel like there’s more to the story that’s not being said.”
Vowels was killed Nov. 28 in a crash during an alleged road rage incident, Michigan State Police First Lt. Rene Gonzalez confirmed Thursday, Dec. 4.
His grandfather earlier said the family doesn’t expect anyone to be charged and Vowels’ daughter was with him at the time of the incident, but that was inaccurate, Kirkland said.
A passing truck hit Vowels and another driver while the pair were fighting in the road, police said.
