MYSURU: The world-renowned Mysuru palace is facing severe maintenance issues, with another incident adding to its woes. A part of one of the walls has cracked, leaving a gaping hole.

After the leak in the darbar hall roof and the roof collapse at the Varaha Gate, now, a huge crack has appeared on the wall of the Vonteramacharya Anjaneya Temple’s building adjacent to the Jayarama-Balarama Gate with over 20 bricks falling off.

The building, which houses the Kannada Sahitya Parishat’s district office, has been evacuated due to safety concerns. The structure is on the verge of collapse, posing a risk to visitors and staff.

Despite being a major tourist attraction, generating significant revenue, the palace’s maintenance has been neglected, sparking outrage and concern among locals.
