GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police said a death investigation is underway at a fire station.

GPD said dispatch got a call around 6:40 a.m. Friday about a person found dead outside Fire Station 2, at the corner of North Church Street and Pisgah Church Road.

Police said the death investigation is not associated with the fire department - it's just where the body was found.

A viewer shared photos with WFMY News 2 showing a few police cars and tape blocking off the fire station.

Police did not say if the death is suspicious and have only called it an active death investigation at this point.
