LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. (WNKY) – A shy Logan County shelter dog who spent 540 days waiting behind kennel doors has finally found a home, thanks to a woman watching television nearly two hours away.
Francesca, a gentle dog who arrived at Logan County Animal Care and Control with her littermates, had long been overlooked because of her timid personality, shelter director Aric Tousignant said. While other dogs eagerly greeted visitors, Francesca would retreat to the back of her kennel, unsure of new people and new surroundings.
“She was the shy one,” Tousignant said. “She’d kind of cower back. I think that’s why she kept getting overlooked.”
