With just a few weeks to go until Christmas Day many children across the country will have been sending in their letters to Santa, and Royal Mail has now revealed the toys which have been most-requested this year. Royal Mail's findings come directly from the requests of children themselves made in letters sent to Santa via the delivery service, and some parents may be surprised to find not a single electronic gadget made the top ten, with children instead appearing to request more traditional presents.
In the run up to Christmas each year, Royal Mail launches its Letters to Santa scheme which encourages children to write and post a letter to Santa. From the letters received, Royal Mail's 'elves' carry out a survey to discover the top ten toys on children's wish lists.
