Sullivan, N.Y. — A Syracuse man has been indicted on multiple felony charges in connection with a July crash in Madison County that killed a 22-year-old woman and seriously injured him and another passenger, deputies said.
The driver, Robert Echols, 21, was arrested Thursday and faces a top charge of aggravated vehicular homicide, according to a news release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Shortly after 6:40 p.m. on July 11, deputies responded to the rollover crash near 1137 State Route 31 in Sullivan.
A Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Echols was going east on Route 31 when it veered off the south shoulder, hit an embankment and rolled over several times.
