Two new Artificial Intelligence courses requiring no prerequisites will be offered during the 2026 spring semester at Mesa Community College to address the increasing demand for such skills in today’s job market in Arizona and across the country.
“These courses are new opportunities for students pursuing computer science, exploring AI or simply curious about how these technologies are shaping our world,” Jeff Holden, MCC Computer Science faculty who will teach both courses, said in a release.
He added that AI skills are not limited to positions in technology but have a broader range in fields like health care, hospitality and new media.
Introduction to Artificial Intelligence familiarizes students with numerous areas of AI and offers hands-on experience using a variety of AI tools.
