BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WCTV) - A burn ban in Bainbridge has been lifted effective immediately, according to Bainbridge Public Safety.

The law enforcement agency announced the lift in a social media post Friday morning.

"Please continue to practice safe burning and follow all fire safety guidelines. Stay safe, everyone," Bainbridge Public Safety wrote in its post.

The lift comes nearly three weeks after the public safety department initially announced the burn ban in November .
