December 10th was International Human Rights Day.
The Unitarian Universalist Church hosted an event organized by Be Magazine and other non-profits to commemorate the occasion.
One of the main focuses of the event was the crisis in Palestine.
Speakers included Missy Crutchfield, UTC Professor Dr. Fouad Moughrabi, and many others.
Missy Crutchfield told us, “So many of the stories today, people who have been on the ground in Gaza, in Palestine who have witnessed, as I have, settler violence in the West Bank, and we’re here to tell our stories, we’re here to answer questions. We’re here to change this narrative that is keeping people silent.”
The event ran all day, and was live-streamed on Be Magazine’s website.
