AKRON, Ohio – Akron Symphony Orchestra’s festive Holiday Pops concert will take place tonight – Friday, Dec. 12 – at 7:30 p.m. at the E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall.
The festive concert is filled with holiday classics and a few surprise selections. The concert promises an evening of “music, joy and community spirit” and is suitable for families and people of all ages, according to the event website.
This year’s concert features tenor Daniel Doty and the Summit Bells handbell choir. The Gospel Meets Symphony Choir will join the symphony for several selections, and students from Firestone Community Learning Center’s Akron School for the Arts Symphonic Choir will also perform.
