MADISON - In a rare show of agreement, U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin and U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden together proposed legislation to provide organic farmers with more resources.
Baldwin, a Democrat, and Van Orden, a Republican, together with other federal lawmakers, proposed the Domestic Organic Investment Act, which would create a U.S. Department of Agriculture program to provide grants to farmers and businesses, according to a media release.
