Actress Girija Oak Godbole, known for her work in Marathi and Hindi cinema, recently went viral after a video of her in a blue saree made waves on social media. The actress has worked in films such as Taare Zameen Par, Jawan, Shor In The City, among many others. Recently, in a conversation with Vishay Khol, Girija Oak Godbole recalled that many directors assumed she wouldn’t return to Marathi films after doing Aamir Khan starrer ‘Taare Zameen Par’ in 2007. However, she said that she never saw Marathi films as secondary, or Hindi films as superior. In fact, she added that for her, a film’s value isn’t determined by its language, and that a movie is a movie, regardless of whether it’s Marathi or Hindi.
