The Stuart Skinner era is officially over with the Edmonton Oilers , as the team pulled the trigger on a move for help between the pipes in a multi-player trade.

General manager Stan Bowman traded Skinner, defenceman Brett Kulak and a 2029 second round pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins for goaltender Tristan Jarry and forward Samuel Poulin.

Jarry, is a familiar face to Edmonton hockey fans. The 30-year-old played his junior hockey with the Edmonton Oil Kings, where he helped to a Western Hockey League title and Memorial Cup championship in 2014.

A second-round pick, 44th overall in the 2013, draft, Jarry has spent his entire 10-year career with the Penguins.

In 307 career games, he’s posted a 161-100-32 record with .909 save percentage. This year, in 14 games, he’s posted a 9-3-1 recor
