Indiana Michigan Power is preparing for snow and cold temperatures. The company expects single-digit temperatures and below-zero wind chills in the area, according to a community announcement.

I&M said in the announcement that it aims to provide safe, reliable power during these conditions. Crews and trucks will be ready to respond quickly to any outages that may occur. The company has taken steps to prevent outages by replacing aging equipment and trimming trees that could damage power lines.

Since 2019, I&M has reduced the average time a customer is without service by 55%. Outages per customer have also been cut nearly in half during this period, according to the announcement.
