Emmerdale fans praised recent scenes as "soap gold" and praised a Dales legend for their appearances in the latest episodes.

As the Christmas season approaches in Emmerdale , the ITV soap has some big storylines geared up before the year comes to a close. With the arrival of Celia Daniels and Ray Walters, their presence has brought a dark cloud over the village.

Their cruel world of modern slavery has seeped into the Dales, with them working their slaves to the bone just on the outskirts of the village.

However, before the Christmas drama arrives in full swing, Emmerdale treated viewers to some festive warmth thanks to a cameo from Jason Donovan.
