Advances in DNA technology led to the arrest of a woman in connection with a 2012 Collier County homicide.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Julie Krinsky, 53, was arrested Thursday morning for the 2012 killing of Joseph Godcharles.
Krinsky was taken into custody in Beverly Hills, Florida, where she currently lives. She is charged with second-degree murder with a weapon.
According to the CCSO, Godcharles, 48, was found stabbed to death in the bedroom of his apartment at the Key Royal Villas community off Immokalee Road on Aug. 1, 2012.
It was determined that Godcharles entered the gated community at 8:24 p.m. on July 31. Godcharles' son discovered the condo unsecured the following morning and contacted law enforcement, the CCSO said.
