GRAND FORKS — The Grand Forks Central boys wrestlers developed a new slogan at the Hillsboro-Central Valley dual tournament on Dec. 6.

“There’s nowhere to run and there’s nowhere to hide.”

A few opposing teams had tried to bump their wrestlers a weight class to avoid Knights senior Landon Petron, who finished sixth at state last season.

But that set up a contest with another state qualifier: junior Ayden Hinsey.

“Some coaches might take their best guy and bump them up away from one of our best guys,” Central head coach Garrett Litzinger said. “But we’re so solid all the way through that it’s like, go ahead and bump them up, you’re not going to get an easier match.”
