EXCLUSIVE: Two of Taylor Sheridan’s most popular shows are colliding as Yellowstone actor Hassie Harrison is set to join 1923 star Brandon Sklenar in the Paramount’s modern western thriller The Rescue . Old Henry director Potsy Ponciroli will helm the film from a screenplay by John Fusco. The plan is to begin shooting this summer.

Ponciroli will produce along with Shannon Houchins and Cliff Roberts. Down Home will exec produce. The logline is being kept under wraps, but The Rescue is a modern day western, in which a rodeo cowboy’s skills are put to the test outside the arena.

The film has been on high priority going back to when Skydance was developing prior to the Skydance-Paramount merger and marks one of first films the new regime has greenlit. Production is set
