Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Friday that the undrafted rookie free agent will get the nod against the Jaguars with Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) both ruled out.
Adrian Martinez, signed back to the practice squad this week, will serve as Cooks’ backup.
It marks just the latest wrinkle in the Jets’ season of quarterback uncertainty and shuffling.
When Taylor exited their loss to the Dolphins on Sunday, Cook took over and completed 14-of-30 passes for 163 yards and a pair of interceptions.
Brady Cook will start for the Jets against the Jaguars. Bill
