Firefighters in Point Edward are spreading joy from their annual toy drive this year to more local agencies.

It’s the sixth year for the Santa’s Responders drive that has filled tables at the fire hall with donated toys for delivery Monday to four agencies serving children, said Gavin Burgess, a firefighter co-ordinating the campaign.

The drive started out collecting and delivering toys to Bluewater Health at Christmas and later added St. Clair Child and Youth Services, based in Point Edward.

Sarnia-Lambton Children’s Aid Society, also based in the village, was added this year, along with Community Living Sarnia-Lambton.
