NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - North DeSoto and Iowa played Friday's Division II Non-Select state championship game as if there was a sense of urgency.

Which there was, as neither the Griffins nor the Yellowjackets have claimed a state title. Friday afternoon in the Caesars Superdome, though, the Yellowjackets finally outlasted the Griffins in an epic 50-43 win, a game that had more than 1,000 yards of total offense for the Division II Non-Select title as part of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s Prep Classic.
