Edmonton’s famous Union Hall will be shutting its doors early into the new year after over two decades of being a go-to performance hall in the city.
Despite the closure, it will be taken over by Pawn Shop Live, a venue that was originally located on Whyte Ave and has been closed for about a decade.
While the venue remains the same, the typical style of show is expected to shift slightly. Pawn Shop Live is known for more alternative or rock performances, whereas Union Hall was more well known for electronic sets.
Union Hall’s final show will be a free event on January 2, featuring American DJ and producer Borgeous.
