Stuart Skinner is out in Edmonton, while the Oilers are going with Tristan Jarry in net.
The netminder swap was part of a blockbuster deal announced Friday morning involving the Pittsburgh Penguins, who will also get defenceman Brett Kulak, along with a 2029 second-round draft pick.
In a second trade on Friday morning, the Oilers also traded a 2027 third-round pick to the Nashville Predators for defenceman Spencer Stastney.
Both Skinner and Kulak were born and raised in Edmonton, while Jarry was a 2014 Memorial Cup champion with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League.
