World No. 1 ODI batter Rohit Sharma will play for Mumbai in the 2025-26 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, which is set to be played from December 24 to January 18. According to a report in RevSportz on Friday (December 12), Rohit’s participation in the upcoming premier domestic one-day tournament is all but confirmed, and he will play few matches for Mumbai before playing in the ODI series against New Zealand.

India will face New Zealand in a three-match ODI series in January 2026. The three 50-over matches between the two finalists of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy are scheduled to take place in Vadodara, Rajkot and Indore on January 11, 14 and 18, respectively.
