PITTSFIELD TWP., MI — Ousted University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore allegedly attempted to confront a staffer he’d engaged in a long-term intimate relationship with before he was arrested by local authorities earlier this week.

The 39-year-old was arraigned on a felony charge of third-degree home invasion, as well as two misdemeanor charges of stalking and entering without permission. He was fired Wednesday for violating university policy and engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, ending a two-year run as Michigan’s head coach.

Moore appeared virtually from the Washtenaw County Jail on Friday, Dec. 12, for a hearing in district court, remaining silent as District Magistrate Odetalla M. Odetalla set a cash/surety bond for $25,000.
