NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The late former Tennessee House majority leader Gerald McCormick will lie in state next week, according to the speaker of the Tennessee House.

House leaders confirmed Thursday that McCormick died after a battle with ALS. He was 63.

House Speaker Cameron Sexton confirmed Friday that McCormick will lie in state on Tuesday at the Legislative Library from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
