LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. —
A 20-year-old University of South Carolina student and a missing man with dementia were both killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 385 in Laurens County.
The crash was reported around 10:15 p.m . Thursday near the Highway 221 exit.
Troopers say the driver of a 2024 Subaru, 20-year-old Adriana Torres Lopez, of Simpsonville, was traveling south on I-385.
A 2005 Nissan, driven by 66-year-old Michael Cutshaw, of Marion, North Carolina, was traveling north in the southbound lane on I-385 when it hit the Subaru.

Both drivers died on scene.
The Laurens County coroner said Cutshaw's wife had reported him missing earlier in the day and authorities were trying to track him down when the crash happened.
