President Donald Trump said Friday that Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to halt fighting following his conversations with the countries’ leaders, describing a ceasefire set to take effect later in the day after renewed violence threatened to escalate a long-running border conflict.

The president posted on Truth Social, "I had a very good conversation this morning with the Prime Minister of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, and the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Manet, concerning the very unfortunate reawakening of their long-running War.
