That's because the U.S. Mint is planning on putting some new coins into circulation that celebrate the 250th anniversary of America.
"The United States Mint is proud to unveil one-year-only changes to well-known American coinage, such as the circulating dime and quarter, as well as the collectible half dollar," an online report stated from the U.S. Mint.
