ALLEN PARK — For a second straight practice, two key starters for the Detroit Lions were missing in action.
Safety Kerby Joseph and left tackle Taylor Decker were both absent from Friday’s practice as the Lions worked in the red zone while preparing for their Week 15 showdown Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
Joseph returned to practice on Wednesday and appeared to be in good spirits, participating in drills without obvious signs of discomfort. He also wore a leg sleeve instead of the bulky knee brace he had sported in recent weeks.
Unfortunately for Detroit, Lions coach Dan Campbell later revealed that Joseph suffered a setback during his ramp-up, likely signaling he will not be available this weekend.
