On Friday at 1:39 p.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid from Saturday 10 p.m. until Sunday 1 p.m. for Richmond (Staten Is.), Kings (Brooklyn), Northwest Suffolk, Northeast Suffolk, Southwest Suffolk, Southeast Suffolk, Northern Queens, Northern Nassau, Southern Queens and Southern Nassau as well as New York (Manhattan) and Bronx counties.
The weather service states to expect, "Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches."
