The alleged “inappropriate” relationship between former Michigan head football coach Sherrone Moore and a woman on his football staff came more into view during his arraignment hearing on Friday, December 12.

The unnamed woman at the center of the scandal broke off their relationship — which had been going on “for years” — on Monday, December 8, Kati Rezmierski, first assistant prosecutor for Washtenaw County, said in the courtroom.

Moore, 39, joined the proceedings via Zoom from a holding area at the Washtenaw County Jail, where he has been in custody since the evening of Wednesday, December 10.

After the woman cut off their relationship, Moore allegedly sent her “numerous texts from that time moving forward that she did not answer, did not respond to, did not want.”
