Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was left with serious injuries following a collision in North Tyneside. Emergency services including police and ambulance rushed to the scene after reports of a collision on Front Street in Monkseaton just before 9am on Friday.
It was reported that a woman was travelling east on a bicycle when she was struck by a car. A police cordon was in place on Monkseaton Front Street with a cordon in place for some time.
