A small amount of snow is expected to hit New York City this weekend.

According to NY1 meteorologists, the snow would start Saturday night and would end Sunday morning. Up to two inches of snow could hit the five boroughs, according to the NY1 forecast.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the five boroughs for overnight Saturday into Sunday morning.

The city’s Department of Sanitation will begin its snow prep this evening, launching a new Bladerunner 2.0 tracking operation for highway brining operations, a release stated.

According to the department, more than 700 salt spreaders are ready to go when the snow falls on roads, highways and bike lanes.

The city’s Office of Emergency Management has also begun its winter weather emergency plan.
