International researchers lured to Canada

This year academic scientists in the U.S. have been on shaky ground as the Trump administration  cut billions of dollars in federal funding to scientific research. Now, Canada is trying to capitalize on that shifting environment, with federal funding allotted for leading global researchers, along with immigration reform to make the transition easier.
