LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A special holiday celebration was held at Dodger Stadium for hundreds of students, many of whom were impacted by the devastating Eaton Fire.
Elementary school kids from Pasadena and Los Angeles unified school districts were given the VIP treatment Thursday as they got a chance to sled down a snow hill on a warm Southern California day, say hi to Santa and leave with some much needed items like backpacks, warm clothing and toys.
One popular host was Dodger great Tommy Edman, who was more than happy to talk with the kids.
"It really is special to see the smiles on these kids' faces as they get a hat and jersey... and go run around on the field," Edman said. "It really means a lot to get to take part in a day like this."
The event was hosted by the Dodgers Foundatio
