CRESSON, Texas — A Monnett Sonerai "veered off" a runway at Bourland Field Airport near Cresson Friday, and came to a stop in a ditch near a creek, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The Parker County Sheriff's Office says they were called to respond to the incident in the 17000 block of South U.S. Highway 377 shortly after 2 p.m. The agency says fire and EMS crews are also on scene.

The pilot was the only person on board, the FAA said.

The Parker County Sheriff's Office is assisting the FAA on the case. WFAA chopper footage from the scene showed first responders gathered around the plane.

No other details were immediately available.
