BUFFALO, N.Y. — The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people who are responsible for robberies of local USPS letter carriers.
The first incident cited by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service happened on Dec. 3 around 4:14 p.m., near the corner of Northland Avenue and Moselle Street in ZIP code 14215. That's where investigators say a letter carrier was robbed at gunpoint.
The suspect is described as a thin Black male who was wearing a black ski mask, black jacket, and black pants at the time of the robbery. Authorities said he fled east on Northland Avenue, toward Wyoming Avenue, after the incident.
The second incident happened on Dec. 5, around 2:20 p.m. near 2024 Forest Ave. in Niagara Falls.
