Police in Rosemère are investigating after a 78-year-old man was found dead outside a residential building on Bouthillier Street near the Place Rosemère shopping centre on Friday morning.
The building is a subsidized housing complex operated by the local municipal housing office and is primarily occupied by seniors who live independently.
The Thérèse-de Blainville police service (RIPTB) says officers were called to the area shortly before 9:30 a.m., where the man was discovered unconscious near 66 Bouthillier St.
Emergency responders transported him to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A security perimeter was set up to preserve the scene.
Investigators remain on site to interview witnesses and gather information to determine what happened.
